The Quick Reference Transit Guide

  • The day after pick up is the first day of the transit time.
  • Pick up or delivery shouldn't be scheduled on weekends or Federal holidays.
  • To Alaska add 10 days (except for the following cities).  Add 20 days if to Adak, Kodiak, Juneau, Ketchikan, or Sitka (and other cities located in the vicinity of these five cities).
  • For all code 2 shipments add 5 days.
  • These times are minimums.  They shouldn't be considered as the maximum allowable.
  • With proper justification, a lesser time may be assigned to meet the needs of the customer. The carrier should be notified that shipment is less than minimum time.
  • USTC updated to these transit times on 18 June 2020 to account for the COVID-19 pandemic.
