Dispatcher

The Dispatcher works directly with the company’s agents and haulers organizing the logistics of the transportation of shipments. It also includes entry of data pertaining to shipment movement in the company’s internal database as well as external databases which must be completed as a part of the movement process. The dispatcher will also interface with the Move Management Department, Billing Department and Claims Department in providing necessary shipment updates.

Education Experience and Skills Required:

  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in an environment requiring heavy phone work

  • Problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work while managing frequent interruptions

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook

  • Ability to work overtime during the peak summer season

  • Two years of college is preferred but not required

Move Support Specialist

The Move Support Specialist is part of the Move Management team responsible for communication (via phone or email) with our agents and customers regarding the transport of household goods. This department operates as the information flow center for the company. They are the eyes, ears, and voice of the move by absorbing information and dispersing to those that need it. Please note: you are not making 'cold calls' or 'sales calls'! All the parties are aware of your role in the move and are willingly communicating with you.

Educational Experience and Skills Desired:

  • Some customer service experience

  • Strong desire to help people

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in an environment requiring heavy phone work

  • Problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook

Household Goods Claims Adjuster

The Claims Adjuster handles all aspects of the claims process for loss or damage to household goods transported by the company. This can also include the processing of claims for real property damaged at the time of pickup and/or delivery of shipments, and claims for expenses that may have been incurred due to a delay in shipment.  Essential functions include:

  • Receive and initiate calls or emails with the customer concerning their claim, determining how best to handle their individual loss and damage claims.

  • Monitor and assist the customer with the claims process, from initial review of damage and loss, to necessary inspections and substantiations, to assisting with forms and requirements of the government.

  • Review and analyze claims to determine the proper settlement. This entails the review of shipment documentation establishing the condition of the goods when tendered to the carrier, in addition to investigation through photos, inspections, internet searches and communications with moving personnel.

  • Respond to any rebuttals to the proposed settlement from customers or agents.

Educational Experience and Skills Required:

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution, with a preferred concentration in business.

  • Excellent writing ability, verbal ability, deductive reasoning and strong customer service skills.

  • Excellent keyboarding skills are also required along with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
